| My name is Sherry Matthews and I live in Dittmer Missouri, which is just outside of St. Louis. I first became acquainted with Bengals about 12 years ago and it was love at first sight. I have always been an animal lover and had pets all my life and I always admired the wild cats, even though I knew I would never have one. When I saw my first Bengal, I know that was no longer true. Even though their appearance was every thing I could have hoped for, it wouldn't have been worth any thing if the temperament and personality of the cat were not good. So I started to research them and the more I found out the more I knew I had made the right choice. I acquired my first Bengal, Phoenix, as a test drive. After having him for a year, I was sold for life. My cattery name is from the Lakota Sioux language, pronounced "Wash-day Cola" and translates as 'Good Friend". I breed all of my kittens for good health, good temperaments and to be your good friend. All of my kittens are raised in my home so are accustom to the normal house sounds; the dishwasher, television, vacuum sweeper. Plus, they are exposed to other cats and dogs, and even though I have no children, I recruit my friends kids to come over and play with them. I handle them daily from the time they are born and once they are able to I start playing with them, so they are very well socialized. I want your experience with these little lap leopards to be as wonderful as mine have been. I am breeding for health, a wild appearance and a domestic temperament. I am a member of The International Cat Association (TICA) and the The International Bengal Cat Society (TIBCS). |
